Meet Terry

Greetings to YOU. My name is Terry Littlefield. I teach Postures · Breath · Joy (PB&J). I help people, get moving, get breathing, and get to know joy. I started volunteer teaching for Yoga4Caregivers because being of service is one of the ways to create joy in your life. That was a year and a half ago. Now, I’m actually a caregiver at a distance for my mother. Right now it’s paying her bills online and paying attention to her finances. What the future holds, I have no idea. I do know that the practices that I teach, movement, breath, and joy seeking, are helping tremendously.

My teaching style goes something like this: I teach with heart and humor and endless hours of education, including, but not limited to, anatomy, biomechanics, breath work, somatics and restorative yoga, reiki and therapy ball massage. I love to learn. I love to share what I learn. I believe laughter is the best medicine and an essential part of any movement practice. My classes blend science and spirit, breath work and belly laughs, movement and meditation. I teach yoga and movement for everyday humans.  No pretzel poses here. It is my mission to help people, especially those of us mid century and beyond,  get moving, get breathing, and get to know or remember joy on a regular basis.

My lifestyle goes something like this: I have been married to my wife for 7 years, together for almost 15. I am a cat person with two rescue dogs. I get caught up in the overly-busy, overly-stimulated world that values doing over being.  Thankfully, I’ve got tons of tools to get back to living a life more magical, less habitual. Finally, in my mid-50’s, I’m letting my hair go gray.  I’m letting my light shine bright.  I’m letting my wife have the last word…sometimes.  I’m in the beginning of my caregiving journey, and I’m grateful to be part of this community. Let’s get moving, get breathing, and get to know joy.  Together.
